When outdoor timber needs renovation

At coastal hotels, sun, salt and humidity wear timber down quickly. Fading, cracking and loose joints are signs that it is time to renovate. A renovation usually involves:

  • The surface is sanded; rotten or broken parts are replaced.
  • An exterior-grade protective finish with UV protection is applied.
  • Tables and chairs are renovated in the same way or replaced.
