We work with architects, interior designers, contractors, hotel investors and homeowners; production follows your or your architect's drawings and quantities. Export shipments travel flat-packed, every module labelled by room and apartment number. Prices are EXW Istanbul; payment is 40% with the order and 60% before shipment.

One proforma, one production plan, one shipment.

When panelling, wardrobes, kitchen and doors come from different suppliers, colours do not match, deliveries slip and three separate crews wait on site. We make all the joinery of a project with the same colour code, the same veneer batch and the same labelling system, and ship it in one container.

HOTEL PROJECTS

Hotel furniture manufacturer: guest room packages (FF&E), corridor panelling and lobby joinery

For hotels and boutique hotels we make the guest room furniture and the joinery of the public areas from a single source. Standard modules are set per room type and the same drawing is repeated for the number of rooms; every room package is labelled with its room number and packed separately, so distribution on site is simple. The 20-room boutique hotel project in Port Louis, Mauritius, was shipped by sea this way.

Hotel corridor example: wood veneer wall panels, guest room doors, skirting and wall lights in one finish

Hotel corridor: when wall panels, room doors and skirting are made in the same finish, the corridor reads as one piece.

In the room package

  • Headboard and headboard wall panel
  • Bedside tables, with drawers or open
  • Wardrobe or open hanging rail
  • Desk and mirror frame
  • Minibar unit and TV panel
  • Luggage rack

In the public areas

  • Corridor panelling and skirting
  • Lobby wall panels
  • Reception desk
  • Restaurant and bar joinery
  • Guest room doors with frames and architraves
  • Vanity units for public washrooms

In a hotel room, furniture takes far more knocks than at home, from suitcases and housekeeping trolleys; edge banding, corner protection and surface resistance come first. For contract use, EN 16121 (storage furniture) and EN 15372 (tables) can serve as references. In the lobby, the first impression decides: a study of hotel lobbies found colour, lighting and style significantly related to customers' overall impression, with colour the strongest factor (Countryman and Jang, 2006, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management). That is why the wood tone and hidden lighting sit at the centre of the design.

VILLAS, WATERFRONT HOMES AND LUXURY APARTMENTS

Villa and luxury home furniture: wall panelling, boiserie, hallway storage, staircases and dressing rooms

In a villa or luxury apartment, fitted furniture is part of the architecture. Fluted panelling and built-in hallway storage in the entrance hall, wooden treads, a handrail and under-tread LED on the staircase, boiserie-panelled walls on the landing, floor-to-ceiling wardrobes or a walk-in dressing room in the bedroom, a TV unit and bookcase in the living room: all are made with the same colour code and the same veneer batch. The entrance hall, staircase and landing photos on this page come from such a residential project.

Wood is more than looks: a review of indoor environment research reports milder autonomic stress responses among occupants of rooms with more visible wood (Burnard and Kutnar, 2015, Wood Science and Technology).

We also make joinery for renovation projects: to drawings with site-measured dimensions, with allowances for out-of-plumb walls and level differences. For waterfront mansions (yalı) on the Bosphorus in Istanbul see our Bosphorus renovation article; for renovations in Europe and the United States see our article on bespoke joinery for villa and period apartment renovations.

Materials and finishes: lacquer, veneer, melamine, solid wood

The same drawing can be made in lacquer or in melamine; the difference shows in budget, intensity of use and appearance. In hotel rooms frequent cleaning and luggage knocks come first; in villas and apartments, look and touch.

Bespoke furniture prices 2026 (EXW Istanbul)

Fitted furniture is priced per m² of front or per linear metre, panelling per m² of wall, staircases per step, hotel rooms per room package and loose furniture per piece. The bands below are our own 2026 quotation levels; only a dated proforma is binding. Prices in USD, excluding Turkish VAT.

Product groupIndicative price
Melamine fitted furniture (wardrobe carcasses, hotel room carcasses)From 155 USD per m² of front; hardware excluded
Lacquered or natural veneer fitted furniture (wardrobes, dressing rooms, hallway storage, TV units, bookcases)From about 500 USD per m² of front; hardware, LED and worktops as separate lines
Wall panelling, boiserie and staircase claddingProject-based, per m² of wall or by number of steps
Hotel room furniture package (headboard, bedside tables, wardrobe, desk, minibar, luggage rack)Project-based per room, depending on room count, finish and specification; shipped flat-packed
Bathroom vanity units, office furniture, classic carved furniture, outdoor joineryProject-based quote by quantity and size

For scale: a 3 m wide floor-to-ceiling wardrobe is about 7-8 m² of front; all the fitted furniture of a villa, excluding the kitchen, is usually 40-80 m² of front. For the ordering process, MOQ and payment see our 2026 prices, lead times and payment guide; for the delivered cost to Europe see our delivered cost guide.

Research note. A study of the US furniture industry describes mass customisation as a competitive strategy against low-cost imports; among the subsectors studied, kitchen cabinets showed the highest level of customisation (Lihra, Buehlmann and Beauregard, 2008, International Journal of Mass Customisation). In a consumer experiment by the same researchers, about 50% of the decision on customised furniture was explained by price, 20% by the degree of customisation and 20% by delivery time (Lihra, Buehlmann and Graf, 2012). That is why our quote puts price, lead time and options on the same page.

PRODUCTION AND QUALITY

Quality is in the details: joints, frame and finish inspection

Fitted furniture stays in the same place for years once installed; a defect cannot be fixed later. Production takes place in our partner facilities in Turkey under RVK's management and quality control; every part is checked for dimensions and finish before shipment.

Master joiner wearing safety glasses checks the corner joint and surface of a solid wood carcass by hand

Craftsman's inspection: corner joints, flatness and sanding quality are checked by hand and eye.

Executive desk under construction: solid wood frame, drawer units and walnut veneer body, half finished

The hidden side: solid wood frame, drawer units and walnut veneer body.

Always ask when comparing quotes

  • Carcass board and formaldehyde: Wood-based panels are among the main sources of indoor formaldehyde (Salthammer, Mentese and Marutzky, 2010, Chemical Reviews); in closed spaces such as hotel rooms ask for E1 boards and the EU limit of 0.062 mg/m³ that applies from 6 August 2026.
  • Edge banding: The peel strength of edge banding depends on the material, glue quantity, feed speed and temperature (Koç, Hazır and Şeker, 2025, BioResources). On hotel carcasses this is the detail that decides service life.
  • Lacquer and varnish: The service life of a varnished surface depends on the film's resistance to physical, mechanical and chemical stress (Kaygın and Akgün, 2008). The primer, paint and varnish build-up should be written on the proforma.
  • Destination climate and wood moisture: The equilibrium moisture content of wood varies by city and season; the US Forest Products Laboratory has published monthly values for hundreds of locations (Simpson, 1998, FPL-RN-0268). The dry air-conditioned interiors of the Gulf and the humid climates of Mauritius or the UK work the same wood differently; ask for solid treads and handrails to be dried for the destination climate and for moisture-barrier packaging on sea freight.
  • Hardware: hinge and runner brand (Blum or Samet), soft close, drawer load capacity; in hotel rooms soft close and impact resistance.
  • Labelling: room or apartment number on every module, assembly guide and installation video; distribution on site follows these.

Frequently asked questions

Are you a bespoke furniture manufacturer or a middleman?

We are a manufacturer and exporter. Production takes place in our partner production facilities in Turkey under RVK's management and quality control; quotation, production follow-up, packaging and export documents are handled by RVK. You buy directly from a Turkish furniture manufacturer: the invoice and the certificate of origin are issued in the name of RVK Mobilya Dekorasyon.

Can you make furniture to our architect's or interior designer's drawings?

Yes, that is exactly what we do. Quotation and production follow the dimensioned drawings, elevations and quantities from you or your architect; we do not offer a drawing service, we put your drawings into production. Dimensions, RAL / NCS codes and veneer type are confirmed in writing before production.

How do you handle hotel furniture (FF&E) projects?

Standard modules are set per room type and the same drawing is repeated for the number of rooms. Headboard, bedside tables, wardrobe, desk, minibar unit and luggage rack are made in the same finish, labelled with the room number and packed room by room. Corridor panelling, lobby and reception joinery and guest room doors go on the same proforma; on large projects production is planned in batches.

Do you work on a single villa or apartment?

Yes. There is no minimum for the joinery of a single villa or apartment (wall panelling, staircase, wardrobes, hallway storage, TV unit, vanity units, kitchen, doors). We combine overseas orders to fill at least one 20' container.

Which materials do you use for wall panelling and boiserie?

Panels and mouldings are lacquered MDF or natural wood veneer (walnut, oak, teak and on request); fluted, flat or moulded. Panels are fixed to the wall with a concealed hanging system; skirting, cornice, door architraves and hidden LED come in the same finish and colour code. Moisture-resistant board is used in wet areas.

How is the price calculated?

Fitted furniture is priced per m² of front or per linear metre, panelling per m² of wall, staircases per step, hotel rooms per room package and loose furniture per piece. 2026 indicative bands: melamine fronts from 155 USD/m², lacquered or veneered fronts from about 500 USD/m²; hardware, LED, worktops and freight on separate lines. Prices are EXW Istanbul, excluding VAT.

What is the lead time?

About 45 working days for lacquered or veneered joinery in villa and apartment projects, counted from the deposit and approval of dimensions; melamine work is shorter. For hotel projects the timing is written on the proforma in batches by room count. Road transit to Europe is 4-7 days; overseas transit depends on the port.

Which countries do you ship to?

Everywhere in Turkey; the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Gulf states, Iraq, the Balkans and Africa. So far we have delivered projects to Mauritius, the United Kingdom, Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Kosovo, Tunisia, the United States and North Cyprus.

Do you install?

Projects in Turkey are delivered with installation. We do not install abroad; modules travel flat-packed, numbered and labelled by room or apartment, and your local team installs them with the assembly guide and installation video.

Can we visit the factory?

Factory visits are not part of our programme; we share the production stages in photos and videos. To discuss your project we can meet at our office in Bakırköy, Istanbul, by appointment.

What are the payment terms and the warranty?

40% deposit with the order, 60% balance before shipment, by bank transfer (EUR, USD or GBP). Appliances are paid 100% with the order. We do not work with letters of credit. The proforma is valid for 10 days; we give a 24-month warranty against manufacturing defects.

Can you quote delivered (DDP) prices?

Our prices are EXW Istanbul. For Europe and the United Kingdom we prepare a door-to-door freight quote on request; RVK is UK VAT registered. For the cost items of a delivered price see this article.
