Share

Island on turned legs, thick-edge worktop and internally lit glazed wall cabinets. An RVK Mobilya Dekorasyon project.
Short answer. RVK Mobilya Dekorasyon manufactures luxury custom kitchens in Turkey (lacquer, natural veneer, classic, shaker, handleless) and supplies marble slabs (Calacatta, white and grey marble, dolomite, onyx) for apartments and country houses in Moscow and St Petersburg. The kitchen and the stone worktop travel in one shipment. Production follows your architect's or designer's drawings exactly. Furniture ships numbered, on pallets and in crates; installation is carried out by your fitter or kitchen studio using our guide and video. Production management and quality control are carried out in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Who this guide is for
- Architects and interior designers running premium projects
- Developers of club houses and luxury residential complexes
- Owners of apartments and country houses
- Kitchen studios that need a manufacturer for their own designs
Which properties
Moscow: apartments in Khamovniki, Ostozhenka and Prechistenka, around Patriarch's Ponds, in Yakimanka and Moscow City; country houses along Rublyovo-Uspenskoye Highway (Barvikha, Zhukovka) and Novorizhskoye Highway.
St Petersburg: Krestovsky and Kamenny islands, the Petrogradsky side, the "Golden Triangle" in the centre, and country houses in the Kurortny district (Repino, Komarovo).
Typical orders for these properties combine a kitchen, an island, a stone worktop and a splashback from the same marble. That is exactly the package we supply from one source.
Why Turkey
A study of the Turkish marble industry using the revealed comparative advantage method found that Turkey generally has high competitiveness in marble products (Adıgüzel and Şengüler, 2019). In furniture, Turkey is among the G20 countries with a clear competitive advantage (Üçüncü and Bayram, 2026). For the client this means the marble slab and the kitchen can come from one supplier, with every slab approved by photo and priced at source.

Calacatta Oro: one of the most requested slabs for islands and bookmatched layouts. Actual slab from stock.
Kitchens: materials and build
- Fronts: lacquered MDF (matt, satin, gloss, any RAL or NCS colour), grain-matched natural walnut or oak veneer, classic profiled, shaker, handleless with gola profile
- Islands: on legs, corbels or with marble waterfall ends
- Tall units and display cabinets: to the ceiling, with aluminium-framed glass and internal lighting
- Hardware: Blum or Samet soft-close
- In the same order: dressing rooms, interior doors, wall panelling and boiserie, libraries

Coffee station: natural veneer niche, lit shelf and glass tall units on both sides. An RVK Mobilya Dekorasyon project.
Marble: models, thickness, finish
- Calacatta Oro, Amber, Celeste: white ground with bold gold, amber or blue-grey veining; the choice when the island is the showpiece
- White Dolomite: pure white ground, fine grey veins; dolomitic marble is far more acid-resistant than calcitic marble
- Grey models: for dark cabinetry and brass hardware
- Onyx: spectacular backlit on a bar, but too soft for a working island
Stock slabs average 240-320 cm in length and 140-200 cm in height, so most islands come out of one slab without a seam. Waterfall ends and bookmatching require consecutive slabs from the same block, reserved by number. A 2 cm slab (about 55 kg/m²) with a mitred edge gives a 4-6 cm look; 3 cm (about 80 kg/m²) is sturdier and needs less support. Polished shows the veining deepest; honed (matte) forgives acid marks.
Marble is mostly calcite and dissolves even in very dilute acids: lemon, vinegar and wine leave dull marks on a polished surface, while dolomitic marble is far more resistant (U.S. GSA). A sealer reduces staining but does not prevent etching. The standard scientific reference on stone durability is Stone in Architecture (Siegesmund and Snethlage, 2014). The physical and mechanical properties of Turkish white marble from the Muğla region are described by Yavuz, Türk and Koca (2002).

White Dolomite: its dolomitic structure resists acids better, a safe white for an everyday island.

Climate: dry air in the heating season
The USDA Forest Products Laboratory recommends installing woodwork at about 8% moisture content in most regions and about 6% in dry conditions (Bergman, 2021). In Moscow and St Petersburg apartments the air becomes very dry during the heating season, close to the second case. We prepare veneer and solid wood with this in mind and advise clients to keep humidity up with a humidifier, so fronts and panels do not crack or warp.
Importing into Russia: VAT, duty, documents
- Import VAT: since 1 January 2026 the standard VAT rate in Russia is 22%.
- Duty: at the EAEU rate for the goods' tariff code; your customs broker makes the exact calculation.
- TR CU 025/2012: furniture (code 9403) requires a declaration of conformity with the technical regulation "On the safety of furniture products" at customs. It is issued by the importer or an applicant registered in the EAEU; we provide the material description and board data.
- Documents from us: commercial invoice, packing list per case, certificate of origin, photos of packing and loading.
- Route: by sea to Novorossiysk and then by road, or by road through Georgia; route, timing and cost are calculated per order.
- Payment: deposit and balance before shipment; the bank and payment terms are agreed before the proforma is issued.

Stock slabs wait in bundles; after approval the same numbered slabs are crated.
Indicative 2026 prices (EXW Istanbul)
| Item | Indicative price |
|---|---|
| Custom lacquered or veneered kitchen | from about 500 USD per m² of cabinet face, hardware as a separate line |
| Flat-pack MDF, high gloss or lacquered kitchen | about 200-430 USD per linear metre of base plus wall run |
| Marble slabs | 195-650 USD per m², depending on the model |
For scale: a complete kitchen is usually 12-25 m² of door face; a 3.2 × 1.6 m island is about 5 m² of top, and with waterfall ends two slabs are usually reserved. In a study of buyers of customised furniture, price explained about half of the decision and delivery time about one fifth (Lihra, Buehlmann and Graf, 2012); that is why price and lead time are on the same page of our quotation. Only a dated proforma invoice is binding.
